Brief Description
Two identical Christmas cards produced in 1941 for the 2 Expeditionary Force in the Middle East.

The front features a colour reproduction of Peter McIntyre's painting of his batman, Cyril Hurne-Miller. A printed greeting along the top of the image reads: A Merry Christmas. The text across the bottom of the image reads: 2 Expeditionary Force. Middle East. The printed text inside reads: Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, 1941.

The two cards are from different senders and each have a handwritten message inside.

a) This card reads: To Mrs Leo Bestall, From Spencer and the boys, with a special word of thanks for a very nice cake.

b) One side reads: 42788 Reverend J T Holland, C F. The other side reads: Oh! for a beer. Hoping to see you look like this soon. Aye [sic] the best. From Tristan Holland.
