Brief Description
Letter to George Preece, Resident Magistrate of Napier from W Browne of Whakatane who was a teacher.
Part a - Browne writes that he opened school with 52 pupils. He asks for a reference and photograph from Preece. Mentions that he has a reference from Sir Donald McLean and that he was at Pakowhai.
Part b - Postscript note to letter mentioning a cheque which should be waiting for him either in Napier or Clive and asking if Preece can pick this up for him.
