Object detail

Brief Description
The drawing of the scheme for the development of sand flats north west of Napier shows a deep lagoon for motor and sailing boats, a launch anchorage, an aerodrome, a yacht basin, a boat basin, a basin for the fishing industry, the Iron Pot at Ahuriri, and slips for boats and repairs. There is a list of the benefits for the scheme on the left hand side.

Date, unknown.
The plan would have been drawn after the 1931 Hawke's Bay earthquake because there is no Inner Harbour present.
Architect, James Augustus Louis Hay.
