Brief Description
Advertising flyer for 'His First Movie, a Scenic Novelty' by Horace S Cottrell. Includes a list of leading features, such as 'Scenes at the Paddling Pool and Joy Slide',' Mardi Gras Procession', and' Hughie Dwyer in a Boxing Bout'. The flyer also provides information about the camera Horace Cottrell used, which was a Prestwitch loaned by Herbert Guthrie-Smith of Tutira. The picture toured New Zealand from June 1922.

On the back of the card is typed: The children of Napier and Port schools sold over 100 pounds worth of tickets of which the 30 Thousand Club received half to buy the merry-go-round that amused the children on the Marine Parade for over 34 years. It is now erected on the lawn on the Ahuriri sea front.
