Letter to the Be Our Guest competition from Bob Wilson and Pat Hardie (nee Wilson) about memories of the 1931 Hawke's Bay earthquake.
Bob was a pupil at Hastings Street School at the time of the earthquake. His family had moved to Napier during the 1930/1931 Christmas/ New Year holidays. He was eight years old. His father worked at the wool store. After the earthquake the family moved to Wellington.
