Has a leather embossed bookplate inside the front cover with S & H Thayer, 1862. Sandy and Hannah (nee Jones) Thayer, this bible was gifted to them on their wedding day. They lived at Congresbury, Somerset, England.
Details of family births, deaths, marriages were removed prior to the donation. A poem by a Boer War Veteran titled: The Bible, has been glued onto the first page.
