Margaret was the sister of May Eileen Brandon who died at Napier. May Eileen was found on the footpath just at her office door. No details of where this office was are supplied. She was 20 years old. She was buried privately. Margaret and Eileen's father was the proprietor of the Masonic Hotel in Woodville at the the time of the earthquake. The letter was written to Eileen, Margaret's friend.
