Watercolour on paper depicting the plant Veronica speciosa also known as napuka and purple hebe.
The flowering stems have multiple buds and are purple. The leaves are a mixture of light and dark green. In the bottom right corner there are four small detailed examples of purple flowering buds.
Written on the back is: Hebe in northern parts of North Island. Flowering in spring.
