About this object
Watercolour on paper depicting four plant species. The plants have been labelled one to four.

1 Lycopodium volubile also known as climbing clubmoss and waewaekoukou. The plant has several scattered branchlets of green, amber and gold tones.

2 Lindsaya [Lindsaea] linearis also known as screw fern. The plant has narrow light green fronds with fan-shaped leaflets.

3 Gleichenia dicarpa also known as pouched coral fern, swamp umbrella fern and tangle fern. The plant has a narrow brown stem with several green fronds with a droopy appearance.

4 Polypodium rugulosum is depicted as a green fern with several fronds. The leaflets are covered with small brown circles.
