Watercolour on paper depicting the plant Earina mucronata also known as bamboo orchid, peka-a-waka and spring earina.

The plant has long, thin grass-like green leaves and clusters of white flowers with yellow heads. To the right of the main plant stem are two small detailed sketches of the flower buds.
