About this object
Watercolour on paper depicting the plant Senecio huntii. The plant is also know as Brachyglottis huntii, rautini and Chatham Island Christmas tree.
The stalk is green and brown and the leaves painted various shades of green. There are a number of large yellow petal flowers. There is a sketch of a flower bud in the lower left hand corner of the painting.
