About this object
Watercolour on paper depicting the plant Glossodia major from New South Wales also known as the waxlip orchid, parson-in-the-pulpit and purple cockatoo.
The plant has three slender furry stems of grey-green and furry leaves of green. There two purple flower heads.
On the back of the work is another undentified plant. The plant is a single branch with a light yellow stem and a number of white blooming flowers.
