Brief Description
Letter to William Elbourne from the New Zealand Military Forces regarding his application for the New Zealand War Medal.
The letter reads: Māori War Claim No 1302. William Elbourne, Greenmeadows, Hastings Hawke's Bay. I have much pleasure in forwarding herewith your New Zealand War Medal for services rendered with the Hawke's Bay Yeomanry Cavalry. Will you please sign the enclosed receipt, in the presence of a witness, and return same to this office at your early convenience. H Carrington Major.
