Booklet entitled: Manual of the New Zealand Mollusca published by the Geological Survey Department and dated 1880.
A systematic and descriptive catalogue of the marine and land shells, and of the soft molluscs and payola of New Zealand and the adjacent islands. Contains a bibliography, a list of abbreviations and synopsis of the multiple families of mollusc.
On reverse is inserted a section from the Transactions of the New Zealand Institute, Volume XXXIV entitled: List of the Species described in F W Hutton's Manual of the New Zealand Mollusca, with the corresponding names used at the present time.
Includes a loose sheet on the inside front cover entitled: With the compliments of the Government Printer Wellington New Zealand.
