Brief Description
The menu was for T.S.S. Captain Cook, Spithead Review, 15th June, 1953. At the top is printed Elizabeth R, 1953 below a diagram of a crown.
On the front of the menu is a copy of a painting depicting Queen Elizabeth I's royal barge. The menu belonged to Bruce Thompson who was Inspector of Police responsible for security of the Royal Party when they came to New Zealand. He and his wife Barbara were invited to Queen Elizabeth II's coronation in recognition of Bruce's work.
