Brief Description
The programme is titled: Coronation souvenir and order of celebrations - King George VI and Queen Elizabeth.
The celebrations were held on 12 May 1937 beginning at Memorial Square and featuring a procession to the Sound Shell on Marine Parade. Following the official celebration was a day of entertainment including sports and a naval display. In the evening a Grand Military Coronation Ball was held in the Drill hall and included a fireworks display and Māori entertainment. The programme was presented by the Mayor and Councillors, Napier Borough Council.
