Brief Description
Two carbon copy telegrams and an envelope, to Douglas Maclean, dated January and July 1877.

a) The first telegram is from Hesketh & Richmond, Auckland, to Douglas Maclean, Napier, dated 4 January 1877. The telegram reads: Montrose Thirty seven pounds less contra claim thirteen balances to be remitted seventy four pounds. please telegraph sum.

b) The second telegram is from W H Reed, Grahamstown, to Douglas McLean Esq, Napier, dated 31 July 1877. The telegram reads: Did you receive the portraits & were they satisfactory.

c) The envelope is addressed to: Douglas McLean (Maclean) Esq, Napier. There is an indecipherable note written down the side of the envelope.
