The letter concerns land that Donald McLean applied for on Mr Kelham's run, that the land will be put up for public auction.

It reads: Sir, The plans of the 5/ land applied for by you on Mr Kelham's run having been ready for some time I have the honor to inform you that it will be put up to public auction on Tuesday the 19 December next unless I hear from you that that day will not be convenient.
