Brief Description
Two receipts relating to payments for accounts owed by Donald McLean for the month of December 1876.

a) The first receipt is for payment of an account for an alarm clock, dated December 1876, Wellington.

b) The second receipt is for the transmission of private telegrams in December 1876 for Sir Donald McLean, from the Hastings Telegraph Station, dated 28 December 1876, Hastings. It is handwritten on a printed form with Public Works Office (Constructed Railways) at the top right.

c) There is also an envelope from Electric Telegraph Office, postmarked 29 December 1876, Hastings and Napier.
