Map of a provisional plan of the Napier country districts, Hawke's Bay.
Shows the area from Ahuriri Harbour, Scinde Island, Balmoral, Moteo Road at the Northern end and the Ngaruroro River, Roy's Hill, Ngatarawa to the West. Tukituki River, Te Mata district is to the Southern end.
T P Russell and R Foster are bordering land owners around the Middle Road area at the Te Mata district end. S Roe, M Groome and J Boyle have land around the area where Hastings would come into being as a city. J N Williams has land bordering Hastings. The Karamu Pā is noted near the Karamu reserve. The Awatoto tollgate can be seen at Awatoto, near Pukeroa. J B Brathwaite is noted occupying the Omarunui No 2 block.
