Letter from J H Bethune, to Donald McLean, dated 25 August 1862.
Mr Bethune writes that he is sending some Wellington papers teaming with political news on the steamer Queen. He also writes that he had a letter from Donald W McLachlan who went to Gillies twice but has not been able to pick up the sheep that Donald McLean has paid for. He has heard from Mr Strang that McLean is not travelling to England for some months.
