Letter from Bethune & Hunter, to Donald McLean, dated 20 May 1862.
The letter stipulates the account for that month is one hundred and seventy-six pounds, six shillings and seven pence, to McLean's debit. The letter is addressed to McLean in Auckland, before he travelled back to England. It is post-marked 23 May in Wellington and 30 May in Auckland. It was sealed with red sealing wax with an embossed stamp: B & H. This is placed on a fold so part of the seal is missing. There are two blue two pence stamps.
