Brief Description
Telegram to George Preece, Resident Magistrate of Napier from S W Morpeth of Wellington.
Part a - Regarding a question by Mr McDonald if it is true that the Government has promised to return to certain natives the Kohi Bush near Ormond containing 102 acres, a previous Government having given it up to the Ormond Military settlers for firewood and defencing (sic) purposes.
Part b - Handwritten copy of telegram included with original. Includes written in red ink: repeated to Ormondville at 1:20 pm.
