Brief Description
Letter to George Preece, Resident Magistrate of Napier from T Lambert.
Lambert writes regarding a petition from the Natives that the money being dispensed is not being put to good use. Lambert suggests £50 should be paid instead to himself to purchase and dispense medicines to local Māori. Lambert has applied to be registered under the Pharmacy Act so that there can be no reason against his being appointed medical dispenser. He has been attending to the local Māori for the last few months for no pay, but has had much success.
This is Courthouse number 276/83 with envelope number 24.
