Brief Description
Poster featuring an anti-Prohibition cartoon dated 1899. The title reads: Sample of Liquor Logic. The cartoon depicts a large pig with the word Liquorman written on it. This pig is situated on the outside of a fence while small piglets with Sly Grogger written on them go through the broken palings. The text at the bottom of the poster reads: Prohibitory laws are broken so take down the fence.
On the back of the poster is a Wellington postmark with the date obscured. The poster is addressed to Mr W A Harding of Waitekauri. There is also a postmark with Waitekauri stamped on it with the date 11 March 1899.
