Brief Description
Letter written in Māori to George Preece, Resident Magistrate of Napier from Nopera Kuikainga of Waipukurau. A translation is also included.
a) Letter written in Māori.
b) Translation of the original letter. Kuikainga requests that Preece inform him of the boundaries fixed upon along the rail line. He also states that Preece needs to write to Porongahau. Finally, he questions Preece on the whereabouts of the police as Pākehā are stealing timber from the land.
