Brief Description
Letter written to George Preece, Resident Magistrate of Napier from Robert Kelly, Clerk of Court in Wairoa. Kelly writes that nobody was nominated on 19 February 1883. Tiopira Kaukau and three others put in an appearance but declined to accept. The following day Heremia Te Popo was duly elected for the Waikaremoana Licensing District being the only one nominated.
