Brief Description
Two telegrams, one from John Bryce in Alexandra to George Preece, Resident Magistrate of Napier, and the other from George Preece to G P Donnelly of Waipawa. The latter mentions John Bryce's previous communication with Preece.
a) Telegram dated 7 February 1883 from John Bryce to George Preece. Bryce writes that Preece is to inform Mr Donnelly that ordinary law can be appealed if it is violated by a case like this and that police protection cannot be given to aid one party in occupation against another.
b) Telegram dated 7 February 1883 from George Preece to G P Donnelly. Preece quotes Bryce's previous telegram and asks him to meet him at his office the following day.
