Brief Description
Letter from Horoti te Kani and five others to George Preece, Resident Magistrate of Napier. There are two letters: one is the original written in Māori and the other is a translation.
a) Original letter in Māori. Signed by Horoti te Kani, Tawaru November, Heenii Tepapa, Tipene Tewaru, Te Horotu, Poutahi Uru Pene.
b) The translated letter states that they have sent a letter to their relatives in Wairoa and if the relatives don't reply, those who have signed will give the decision relative to the land at Waipaoa and Mataruhia.
