Brief Description
This is a book of Napier Borough Council Building Permits issued between 9 June 1931 and 3 September 1931. Each permit is numbered from 501 to 600 and includes the date, applicant, owner, locality and section, materials and estimated cost. Each entry is signed by the Building Inspector, E Grant, and a second party whose signature is difficult to decipher.

Hard cardboard covered in marbled paper with green cloth binding and a handwritten paper label attached to the spine. The pages of the book are made up of carbon copies of permits issued on blue paper. The stubs of these permits remain in between each page. The pages are printed in black ink on paper and stamped in coloured ink.
