Brief Description
(a) Book of Napier Borough Council Building Permits issued between 27 August 1930 and 3 March 1931.There are 100 permits in total. Each is numbered from 401 to 500 and includes the date, applicant, owner, locality and section, materials and estimated cost. Each entry is signed by the Building Inspector, E Grant, and a second party whose signature is difficult to decipher. Permits 483 to 500 have been cancelled and torn in half.

(a) Hard cardboard covered in marbled paper with green cloth binding and a handwritten paper label attached to the spine. The pages of the book are made up of carbon copies of permits that were issued on blue paper. The stubs of these permits remain in between each page. The pages are printed in black ink on paper.
