About this object
a) Photograph entitled: Napier in 1864. The image has been taken from Napier Hill looking south towards Cape Kidnappers. St John's Anglican Church is visible on the far right. The Provincial Council Chambers which were built in 1860 is the large building in front of the Church. The Masonic Hotel (1861) is situated on the Hastings - Tennyson Street intersection. Swamp land can be seen in the background.
b) Frame. Glued to the back of the frame is a sign that reads: Myer's Picture Framing and Venetian Blind Establishment, Emerson Street, Napier.
