Brief Description
Plan, Napier Harbour Board - Burns Terrace.

Three plans enclosed in card cover with attached specification of work to be carried out.

1) Plan of Burns Terrace - formation
Shows Burns Road and the proposed work to be carried out IE:
Stormwater drains, manhole connections, silt traps, areas to be widened and footpath areas.
The roadway is to be 14 feet wide and the footpath is to be 5 feet wide.
Included is a cross section of road and footpath and a small diagram of the silt trap.
Scale is at 40 feet to the inch.

2) Shows a longitudinal cross section of Burns Terrace and a layout of the location of the sewer pipe which is to be 14 inches in diameter.
Scale is at 20 feet, vertical, to the inch.

3) Shows 10 small drawings of cross sections on Burns Terrace.
scale is at 10 feet to the inch.

The three typed sheets attached go into detail of how the work is to be carried out:
The trees are to be cleared from the area, removal of fences etc.
The new road consists of a footpath 5 feet wide, road of 14 feet wide increased to 19 feet at the corners.
The concrete kerb is to be formed on the side of the footpath and is to be 5 inches wide and 9 inches deep.
The other sheets describe the stormwater channel formation, culverts, metal, footpath and sewer construction.
Finally noted is the concrete mixture, which is to be one part Portland cement to 2 parts clean sharp sand and 4 parts shingle.
