A booklet with text in Māori, printed on a letterpress and bound along spine by thread. The text is a translation of a Church Almanac for 1851. The booklet is interleaved with blank pages, on which are handwritten notes and diary entries by William Colenso. There are also two pages inserted into the booklet printed by Colenso. On the front cover is handwritten: Na Te Koreneho 1851. Beside the entry for 29 May Colenso has written: Wi born. Wi is short for Wiremu, Colenso's son. On the 3 December is written: Sam! (who was his long-time friend) and R (Ripeka) left. In the November entries Colenso has written: £1800 pd (paid) to Natives at Waipukurau (£1000 per ann. for 3 years); and 18 £1000 pd to Nats at Ahuriri (£500 next year). Towards the back of the booklet are translations for time, measurement, volume, weight and money.
The edition was of two thousand and twenty copies.
