The imprint at the end of the booklet reads: No Paihia: He mea ta i te Perehi o nga Mihanere.

A booklet with text in Māori, printed on a letterpress and bound along the spine with thread. The text is a translation of the first six chapters of the book of Daniel from the Old Testament, including the stories of the Burning Fiery Furnace, Belshazzar's Feast, The Lion's Den, and the book of Jonah. The booklet was translated by Mr W G Puckey, although it is sometimes attributed to William Colenso. Handwritten by William Colenso on the title page of the booklet is: For prefs; W.C. There are handwritten corrections and annotations throughout the booklet.
