CONFIRMATION AND CATECHISM.
What is Confirmation?
It is a method by which to strengthen Faith.
Is this known by any other name?
Devotion to what?
The heart of a man to the Faith.
Who is the Protector?
The Holy Spirit.
Who may perform Confirmation?
The Bishops of the Church.
Who are the people being Confirmed?
Those that have been baptized and know the Catechism.
When did this begin?
In ancient times, at the origins of the Church.
Who amongst the Apostles performed Confirmations?
Peter, John, and Paul.
Whom did Peter and John Confirm?
The people of Samaria.
How were they Confirmed?
They were directed unto the Holy Spirit.
Who directed them?
Whom may be directed to the Holy Spirit?
Those that are genuinely seeking God.
What is genuinely seeking?
To think about God, be staunch in prayer, to sing unto God, repent and go to Confirmation.
Who was it that baptized the Samaritans?
Did Phillip Confirm them?
He did not have the authority to do so.
What is Phillip’s designation?
He is a Minister and Deacon.
What position do Peter, John, and Paul hold?
They are Apostles.
Who was the Samaritan that sinned against the confirmation?
Simon, the sorcerer.
What was his sin?
He offered the Apostles money to be able to enter into the Holy Spirit.
What are good fruits of Confirmation?
A strong spirit is one.
What if we should be tempted to stray from the fruit of the Spirit?
We should be steadfast in doing the works of God.

No. There are only two (Hakarameta); the Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
Is Confirmation important?
Indeed; It is a sacred and hails from the beginning of the Faith, and helps a person to hold fast and not go astray.
What preparations are required by the people performing baptisms and confirmations on children?
The parents of the children must give their permission at the baptism for their children to be confirmed.
What are the terms of that agreement?
To forsake evil and hold fast to all the words of God.
Who agrees to these terms in the baptism of children?
Why is it that the parents agree?
Because they are but children.
Who alone will agree on the day of baptism?
Those children that are to be baptized, and when they reach adulthood they will also learn how to reply to those that enquire.
According to the Faith, who may attend the Lord’s Supper?
Only those that have eternal life or who have a thirst for eternal life.
How should the people coming to be confirmed behave?
They should think carefully about their words of agreement; and pray to God to send them help.
