A booklet with text in Māori, printed on a letterpress and bound along spine by thread. The text is a translation of selections from The Church of England Book of Common Prayer. This is a revised edition of the Church Catechism (the Anglican catechism for those to be confirmed by a Bishop), also known as the fourth catechism in a set of four. Although this edition of the Church Catechism is undated it was probably issued in 1850, as the printing of an edition of eight hundred copies of the catechism was approved by the Church Missionary Society Central Committee on 2 March 1850.
