Brief Description
a) An invitation issued by The First Sea Lord, Officers and Ratings of the Pacific Canoe Club for a dance held at the Oddfellows' Hall on Wednesday, 6 March 1929.
b) A group of papers concerning the history of the Pacific Canoe Club from 1928 to 1931. There is a manuscript and typescript version of a document dated June 1974, containing information from W J Harding. It records details of trips made along Hawke's Bay rivers and coastline as well as information on boats and races. The other document in this group also records the history of the Club and, in particular, states the donation of the Pacific Canoe Club dance invitation from W J Harding. It also makes mention of the donor's relationship to J W Harding of Mount Vernon, Waipukurau.
