Brief Description
A draft of a circular dated 15 September 1874 concerning the establishment of the Hawke's Bay Philosophical Institute at a meeting in the Provincial Council Chamber, Napier on Monday 14 September 1874. The circular records the Resolutions that were unanimously carried at the meeting and the names of the gentlemen who subscribed their names as Members of the society.
