Letter to William Colenso Esqr, Hon Secretary, Hawke's Bay Philosphical Society, from Percival Bear, Hon Secretary, Napier Athenaeum. Addressed and dated November 3/81. Regarding the lease of a room for the Philosophical Society. The letter had received full consideration by the Athenaeum committee and that they were unable to relinquish the use of any of the present rooms of the Institution, but had ascertained that a suitable room could be erected for about £75 & the Committee were prepared to allow Mr Colenso to erect such room and would grant the use thereof to the Philosphical Institute for five years free of charge.
