Medical Journal, Renfrewshire
(a) Medical Journal of the Renfrewshire written by John Dale Superintendent-Surgeon on board the vessel. Dates range from 6 October 1877 to 1 January 1876. Includes columns for: first and surnames; age; date; disease with detailed symptoms, causes, etc; treatment; class of diet; date of discharge, cure or death; remarks. The last used page is a signed note from the doctor regarding his opinion on the scarlatina outbreak on the voyage.

Also tucked into the front cover are several loose pages:
(b) A list of supplies to be sent to the spit, dated 7 January 1878 in Napier.

(c) Note dated 13 January 1878 of supplies for the ship and for Dr. Dale.

(d) Letter addressed to Mr Fannin, dated 13 January 1878 re - compensation for losses incurred during fumigation. Is written on the backside of a requisitions form from a requisition book.

(e) One side is addressed to Mr Fox re Mrs Hall, list of supplies on the other.

(f) List of supplies, undated.

(g) List of supplies dated 14 January 1878, Napier.

(h) List of supplies dated 12 January 1878.

(i) Letter to Mr Fox re - saving memos. Dated 13 January 1878.

(j) Certificate of health for the passengers of the Renfrewshire upon arrival in Napier, dated 8 January 1878 and signed by John Dale.

(k) Receipt for work done for general good / immigration keeps from the newspaper and general printing establishment on Tennyson street in Napier. Dated January 1878 for work done in October, November and December 1877.
