Brief Description
A deed made on 28 December 1876 by Powha with the consent of her husband Paera Kati (vendors) of Gisborne, and Queen Victoria, the Waihau Block containing 13800 acres bounded on the north by the Hangaroa River and Kaikoura stream, on the east by the Whakaongaonga block, on the south east by Māori lands, and on the south by the Mangaotara Stream to its junction with the Hangaroa River.

There is a map of the Waihau area drawn on the deed.
