Brief Description
A conveyance deed between Ralph Carr Ellison of Dunstan Hill near Gateshead in England and Edmund Carr late of Petane, Hawke's Bay, now of Gateshead, England who have agreed to convey the land at Puketapu to William Spence Peter of Ashburton, Canterbury - sheepfarmer.

Included on the deed is a map drawn of the land in question - Part block 103 and Part Block 93; one of the boundaries being the Mangakopikopiko Stream, Puketapu District, Hawke's Bay.

Dated 2 January 1878.
Tied to the deed with green ribbon are two testimonials stating that the signatures of Carr and Ellison have been witnessed.

Signature/Inscription
On the conveyance deed there are two stamp duty stamps with a metal clasp in the middle of both. The first stamp has ten shillings written on it; the second stamp Hawke's Bay stamp duty.
There are two stamps attached to the testimonials: the first with Inland Revenue written on it; the second Notary Public.
