About this object
The Hastings branch of the Intellectually Handicapped Children's Society yesterday took possession of a £1200 mini-bus. The keys were presented to the president of the branch Mr A. Ross (left) by the president of Hastings Jaycee, Mr B. Bromhead. The Jaycees organised the raising of funds for the vehicle, which will be used to transport children to and from the workshops in Hastings. The funds came from rubbish collections, an auction sale and donations from the farming community and transport companies. Pictured is the Commer van outside Tourist Motors.
