About this object
The Right Rev. N. A. Lesser, Bishop of Waiapu, officially laid the foundation stone of the new Church of St. Columba at Westshore on Saturday afternoon. The picture shows (from left): Canon J. C. J. Wilson, the Rev. W. R. McD Hay, Mr L. Lowe, vicar's warden (partly obscured), the Bishop, the Rev. T. F. Fagg, the Rev. K. J. Mackie, Canon K. F. Button, the Rev. W. S. G. Cameron and Dean O. S. O. Gibson, as well as part of the 200 strong congregation, during the singing of a hymn.
