The large crowd is gathered around a podium set up for speakers and dignitaries. The commemoration possibly took place on the court in front of the Masonic Hotel along Marine Parade. A man in military uniform is leaning over the podium speaking to people in the crowd. Near the podium a group that appear to be school girls are wearing boater hats.
Participants in the Anzac commemoration are visible standing all the way to the sea wall. People are also seated along the sea wall.
